Types of Meta Agency Advertising Accounts

Aurora provides four different types of agency advertising accounts for Meta: Standard, Page Limited, Black Hat, and Black Hat Page Limited. Each account type is tailored to meet specific advertising needs and strategies, differing in key areas such as URL and page restrictions, allowed verticals, and operational specifics.

All our accounts maintain Aurora's high quality and trust tier. Explore each type's unique features in the expandable sections below:

Standard Accounts

  • URL Restrictions: Advertise up to 15 different domains, selected prior to account creation

  • Page Restrictions: Advertise with up to 20 Facebook pages, selected prior to account creation

  • BM Binding: Your ad account will be shared with your BM, granting full access

  • Allowed Verticals: White hat and grey hat

  • Minimum Top-Up: $500 for the initial top-up

  • Currency: USD

  • Spending Limits: Ad accounts may start with a temporary spending limit. This limit rapidly increases with consistent, policy-compliant advertising spend

  • Creation Time: Standard accounts are set up within 2-3 business days

  • Timezone: Accounts can be in any timezone from this list

  • Commission Fees: No commission fees. Up to 5% cashback is available depending on your quarterly ad spend

  • Account Quality: All Aurora ad accounts are of the highest trust tier and maintain equally high quality

  • Asset Notes: Declared URLs, pages, and BMs must not have been previously used with non-Aurora HK ad accounts. Contact your Account Manager for new assets, which may be provided for free

Black Hat Accounts

  1. URL Restrictions: Advertise up to 15 different domains, selected prior to account creation

  2. Page Restrictions: Advertise with up to 20 Facebook pages, selected prior to account creation

  3. BM Binding: Your ad account will be shared with your BM, granting full access

  4. Allowed Verticals: Black hat

  5. Minimum Top-Up: $500 for the initial top-up

  8. Creation Time: Black Hat accounts are set up within 2-3 business days

  10. Commission Fees: No commission fees. Up to 5% cashback is available depending on your quarterly ad spend

  11. Account Quality: All Aurora ad accounts are of the highest trust tier and maintain equally high quality

  12. Asset Notes: Declared URLs, pages, and BMs must not have been previously used with non-Aurora HK ad accounts. Contact your Account Manager for new assets, which may be provided for free

  13. Extra Notes:

    1. Black Hat accounts can be topped up between 1 AM and 4 PM (GMT+0)

    2. We work with a partnered provider for Black Hat Page Limited accounts to keep our clients' account types separate. The accounts are equally high quality, but top-ups are restricted to our partner's working hours

    3. If your Black Hat account is disabled, you must appeal it yourself—Aurora will help you do this

Page Limited Accounts

  1. URL Restrictions: Unlimited URL advertising. We require 1 URL to pre-check your vertical

  2. Page Restrictions: Advertise with up to 20 Facebook pages, selected prior to account creation

  3. BM Binding: Your ad account will be shared with your BM, granting full access

  4. Allowed Verticals: White hat

  5. Minimum Top-Up: $1000 for the initial top-up

  6. Currency: USD

  8. Creation Time: Black Hat Page Limited accounts are set up within 3-5 business days

  9. Timezone: Accounts can be in any timezone from this list

  10. Commission Fees: No commission fees. Up to 5% cashback is available depending on your quarterly ad spend

  11. Account Quality: All Aurora ad accounts are of the highest trust tier and maintain equally high quality

  12. Asset Notes: Declared pages and BMs must not have been previously used with non-Aurora HK ad accounts. Contact your Account Manager for new assets, which may be provided for free

    • Black Hat Page Limited accounts can be topped up between 1 AM and 4 PM (GMT+0)

    • For Black Hat Page Limited accounts, we work with a partnered provider to keep our clients' account types separate. The accounts are equally high quality, but top-ups are restricted to our partner's working hours

Are there minimum spending requirements?

No, you can use our agency ad accounts no matter your level of scale. After the initial top-up, you can continue to top-up as much or as little as you would like. We have no requirements for spending.

Can I use my Pages and Business Managers?

Yes, you can use your Pages and BMs, but they must not have been used with a Hong Kong-based ad account before, except for Aurora-made ad accounts. If you need a new BM and/or Pages, we can provide these also. Please contact your Account Manager for more information.

How do account bans and appeals work?

Our agency accounts are highly trusted, making random blocks or restrictions unlikely. If an account does get restricted, we will request an appeal with the Meta team.

After appealing, some clients regain access within hours if the restriction is false, while others may take a few days. Often, the issue is due to flagged assets rather than the ad account itself. In these cases, you might need to disconnect each asset individually to identify the flagged one.

In the rare case that an appeal is rejected, we will provide a replacement account and transfer all remaining funds from the restricted account to the new one. This only typically happens with major policy violations.

Where are the accounts located?

We work with Meta in multiple locations globally to provide coverage for clients in all locations. Enterprise-level ad accounts from any country are equally highly trusted and offer stable, consistent performance with potentially cheaper results. Meta’s auction process doesn’t consider the account’s location.

Do you offer post-payment or credit facilities?

No, unfortunately, we do not offer any post-payment or credit for clients. All payments for our agency accounts must be made in advance. However, if you wish to use a credit card to top-up your account, you can do so.

Do you charge any tax or VAT on advertising spend?

No, we do not charge any taxes, value-added taxes or markups on advertising spend.
